Bowtech training overview
Bowtech is taught in eight Levels, which are covered over four 3-day and one 2-day seminars, with a total duration of 126 instructional hours. Training at these levels must follow a sequential order, as each seminar includes a review and enrichment of the material from the immediately preceding level.

The training lasts approximately one academic year, with intervals of two to three months between seminars. These intervals allow for practical application before the next teaching module and ensure sufficient time for the documentation and completion of 10 case histories, which are required for the completion of Level 8 and the final assessment.
Each seminar includes:

-
demonstration of each technique, with detailed explanation of anatomical landmarks
-
explanation and discussion of the techniques and indications for their use
-
detailed notes, with photos and anatomical diagrams
-
extensive supervised practical training, with feedback from the instructor
-
full review of procedures taught in previous modules
-
practical and written assessments with individual feedback upon completion of each level.
Practitioners receive a diploma issued by the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia provided they:

-
pass the practical and written exams of Level 8,
-
attend 120 hours of Anatomy/Physiology classes (or submit proof of having attended 120 hours of Anatomy/Physiology courses from another institution),
-
submit a recent First Aid Certificate (including CPR), and
-
submit 10 case histories, each consisting of at least three Bowtech sessions. These case histories must be submitted in electronic format, written in Word, using Times New Roman font, size 12, standard page layout (top & bottom margins 2.54 cm / left & right 3.18 cm, approximately 600 words of text).
